The 2010 NCGOP 13th District Convention will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the NCGOP State Headquarters, located at 1506 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.

Registration will open at 9:00 AM and will close promptly at 10:00 AM.  Out of consideration for the delegates who arrive in a timely manner, no one will be permitted to register after 10:00 AM. A North Carolina driver’s license, or other government issued photo identification, is required to register. Please do not park in the gravel lot adjacent to the NCGOP Headquarters – that lot is not owned by the NCGOP.

Only delegates and those alternates moving up to delegate status will be permitted to participate in convention business. Guests are, as always, welcome to attend and observe. Recording of the convention will not be permitted; individuals who wish to learn more about the district, and the candidates running within the district, should plan to attend in person.

We request that each individual pay a $10 delegate registration fee to attend this convention. We can accept only checks on the day of the convention. To pre-pay, or make additional donations to our cause, using a credit card, please donate through our website: www.ncgop13.org.

A proposed Agenda for this convention has been posted since February on our website (www.ncgop13.org). On our website you can also access our District Plan of Organization and the Proposed Rules for the 2010 Convention. Bernie Reeves on the Tea Party Movement

Posted by Tyler T on Apr 21, 2010 in Local

Hi Gang,

Want to know what Bernie Reeves, GOP candidate for the 13th district thinks about the Tea Party.

“…I asked Reeves what he makes of the Tea Party movement. He told me he considers the other three candidates to be more closely aligned with that strain of conservative politics.

The Tea Party movement, he told me, “personifies the feelings of people who aren’t really political people. It’s more anger than calm dialogue. They never get into this abstruse theory. I think their assumptions about what they think America is has been undermined.”

Reeves acknowledged that he’s not altogether comfortable with the movement. “The dogmatism is difficult to take,” he said. ”

From this article is seems like Bernie thinks he can buy the primary without ever “getting his hands dirty”.
