President Obama has only been in office for approximately two months. Imagine what he will be able accomplish if we as Republicans/Conservatives cannot stop at least some of the bleeding in 2010. This is serious stuff.

The following is a link to an article by Mike Huckabee titled “Put Conservatism into Practice.” The message is simple: We don’t need to redefine conservatism. We just need to practice it.

I would like to thank those in attendance at last night’s Granville County GOP Convention for voting me in as your Vice Chair. Look for me to post items from the national level such as the topics from The Republican Mayors and Local Officials Caucus of which I am a member, as well as from contacts on both sides of the aisle on the state and federal level.

Folks,
Here is a link to an interesting article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/us/politics/08obama.html
The domestic economy comes up about half way through the article. The quote that got me was as follows: ”He [President Obama] struck a reassuring tone about the economy, saying he had no trouble sleeping at night.”
First, I can only imagine the veracity with which the press would have pounced on President Bush if he made the same comment. Second, I am glad that President Obama has no trouble sleeping at night. I wish all of the American’s struggling to stay afloat could say the same thing.

If you are looking for an extremely enlightening read, try “Social Equality” by William Hurrell Mallock. Mallock takes a scientific approach to dismantling socialsim. It is a blistering critique. It was first published in 1882. It can be found on amazon.com and other such outlets. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a historical perspective on what we are currently facing.
