In Memory of Robert Rector

As many of you may already know, Robert Rector passed away on December 12, 2008. While I only met Robert on one occassion, I could not help but be impressed with the depth of his knowledge and conviction regarding his beloved Republican Party. I regret that I will not have the opportunity to learn more from him during this life. My thoughts and prayers are with those he has left behind.

Each of us can keep his memory alive by continuing our support of the party that he cared so much for.

D control in Granville County

Well hold onto your wallet, again.  Last night  (12/1/08) at the Granville County Commissioners meeting they had their 1/2 way  FY report  from the county finance directer and  in order to keep the same level of service they are going to have to increase taxes 6 to 8 cents.  Add in the library bond and it’s a dime.

The new chair made a remark that he was glad that the board was all vets.   Same old same old.
